Yumbo Daycare opened in September 2015 and is a small privately owned nursery.

The nursery is situated in Braintree Town Centre adjacent to the Braintree District Council Offices.   Within walking distance to the Town Centre, Bus and Train Station. 

It is an expansion of a highly successful home based setting which achieved 'Outstanding' on the two previous Ofsted Inspections.

The owner and senior manager has 30 years experience in caring for children from birth to 15 years old and supporting their families.

She was nominated by families and presented with an award by Essex County Council in 2011 for 'Outstanding Care of children and supporting thier families' in the whole of Essex. 

The nursery caters for children between the ages of 6 months to 8 years. 

Providing Full-Time, Part-Time, All Year Round and Term Time Only Care.   Respite and Temporary Care.

After-School Club and School Holiday Club.

Our nursery is open 50 Weeks of the year.

Yumbo employs a small team of high quality Early Years Practitioners with qualifications ranging from University Of Nottingham Higher Education Diploma,  Levels 3 and 2 Qualifications in Childcare and Education as well as a qualified SENCO and SENCO Support.

Our practitioners undertake regular training to ensure up-to-date knowledge and guidance. 

All staff members are Level 3 Paedatric First Aid Trained, have all completed safeguarding Level 2 and Food Hygiene Level 2.

We have two Level 3 Designated Safeguarding Officers and two ENCO (Equality named co ordinators.)

The experienced and qualified staff are led by an exceptionally inspirational management team.  Together they fully involve parents, children and other agencies in their continuous drive for improvement.
